Cancer Research Interest
- Disease Site Focus: Leukemia/ Lymphoma, Prostate
- Research Focus Area: Treatment
- Type of Research: Basic, Translational
- Research Keywords: Drug discovery, Medicinal chemistry
- Research Interest Statement: The aim of my current project involves the design and synthesis of a dual-targeted drug, with the goal of inhibiting the catalytic activity of two epigenetic regulators, LSD1 and EZH2, that play a large role in the proliferation and survival of cancer cells. By blocking these histone-modifying enzymes simultaneously, it is possible to achieve a synergistic therapeutic effect. This dual inhibition approach could serve as a novel treatment for various cancers including colorectal cancer, follicular lymphoma, and prostate cancer.
