- Research Focus Area: Treatment, Prevention, Detection, Diagnosis/ Prognosis
- Type of Research: Clinical
- Research Keywords: Clinical Trials
- Research Interest Statement: My cancer research projects and interests focus on advancing the treatment and understanding of breast and gastrointestinal cancers through innovative clinical trials and translational research. I am particularly dedicated to exploring novel therapeutic strategies, such as anthracycline-free chemotherapy regimens and immunotherapy combinations, to enhance patient outcomes. My work involves leading clinical trials that assess the efficacy of carbohydrate mimotope-based vaccines in high-risk and triple-negative breast cancer, as well as evaluating targeted therapies like Giredestrant and Everolimus in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. I am also committed to personalized medicine, as evidenced by my involvement in trials that tailor treatment based on pathological response. Additionally, I am actively engaged in awarded grants, such as the Arkansas Breast Cancer Research Program, where I investigate the potential of ROR1-CAR-T cells and the CLOCK gene as therapeutic targets in breast cancer. These projects highlight my commitment to exploring innovative approaches that address unmet needs in cancer treatment. My editorial activities and participation in professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association of Cancer Research, further reflect my dedication to advancing the field of oncology through collaboration and knowledge dissemination. In summary, my research is driven by a commitment to improving cancer care through innovative clinical trials, personalized treatment strategies, and a focus on quality and metrics. I am eager to continue contributing to the field by exploring novel therapies and fostering collaborations that enhance our understanding of cancer biology and treatment.
