Research Interest Statement: I have participated in several research projects through residents, fellowship, and as faculty. I have just started at UAMS, so do not have active research here at present, but the research I am completing at my prior institution included studying the use of virtual reality and 3D simulation on surgeon preparation for the operating room, studying the prognosis of colloid carcinoma of the pancreas, and examining the characteristics of patients with early-onset colorectal cancer. My main areas of interest include understanding prognosis of patients with cancer and examining surgical outcomes, including how surgery can affect prognosis.
